The Size Doesn’t Matter

Whether small or large, highly personal or vastly overwhelming, there is a continual invitation.

“Let’s talk.” — God

In recent days, I watched God spare me from the closest head-on collision I’ve ever experienced. Thankful to be alive!

Within the same time frame, I had wanted to visit a specialty store for weeks to buy three items. They weren’t things I needed, merely things I wanted.

Yesterday, while running an errand for someone else, I was near the store with just enough time to stop in.

What happened next was a great reminder.

God cares about the specific details.

I discovered a digital coupon for a free item I’d been wanting. The other two items had just gone on sale that very day and were 50% off. Woohoo!

Even more surprising, the store, which is typically very crowded, was nearly empty. A personal shopper walked me directly to each item and checked me out in record time. Thanks, Tabitha!

I realized that God had answered several very specific requests in one brief visit.

I KNEW God was actively interested and working on my behalf.

One situation involved a potentially life-altering collision. The other involved something that would have seemed insignificant to anyone else, yet was highly personal to me.

Both requests, both big and small, are worth bringing to Him.

Sometimes, we hesitate to bring the small things before God because they don’t seem important enough.

That’s the whole point.

Your problems matter to God because they matter so much to you! He really cares.
