How to Have P.E.A.C.E. in the Midst of Chaos

This week, we are focusing on ways we abide when P.E.A.C.E. looks and feels problematic. First, we pray. Next, we fix our eyes on Jesus Christ.

Like you, I am DONE going through life in a haze like it's some ridiculous maze. When our eyes are fixed on Jesus Christ, our gaze has a direct and glorious impact on our days.

Peace is not the absence of problems, feelings, or circumstances — it's what we have when we abide in Jesus Christ. Oh, how He loves to do life with us!

Think about how many times you text friends and family in a day. Are we talking and checking in with God that often or more? Peace is connected with the one who created us for a relationship with Him. God offers perfect peace.

For P.E.A.C.E. we:

P – Pray about everything (Phil 4:6)

E – Eyes fixed on Jesus (Heb. 12:2)

A – Assurance of His promises (2 Cor. 1:20)

C – Confident that He cares (1 Peter 5:7)

E – Ever lasting hope (Rom. 15:13)

The Call to Action

Live and pray in this way. The New Life Version (NLV) shares Philippians 4:6-7 in words that are pertinent for today.

"Do not worry. Learn to pray about everything. Give thanks to God as you ask Him for what you need. The peace of God is much greater than the human mind can understand. This peace will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

today’s radiant insight:

Prayer turns our eyes from our problems to God’s presence and ever present help.
