Assurances in God’s Promises
Unlike Weeble world (do you know or recall those little toys?), the claim was/is "Weebles, they wobble, but they won't fall down."
As we continue to look at abiding in P.E.A.C.E.—
P – Pray about everything (Phil 4:6)
E – Eyes fixed on Jesus (Heb. 12:2)
A – Assurance of His promises (2 Cor. 1:20)
I’m obviously NOT a Weeble, because feelings falter when there are delays, time constraints, schedules get crunched, or sleep runs thin. There’s a litany of other things that can be frustrating—very frustrating, actually—until I remember what’s available to me and to you.
There are 7,000+ incredible promises of God in the Bible. When we remember this, then there's a shift in our attitudes. We lighten up, smile all the more, and recognize the assurances of what we are hoping and waiting with God to take place are certain when abiding in peace.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIRV) says, “God has made a great many promises. They are all “Yes” because of what Christ has done. So through Christ we say “Amen.” We want God to receive glory.”
Friend, we may wobble, but in Christ, we won't stay down!
