Raising Up the Next Generation with Courage and Faith
I’m deeply grateful for the Body of Christ in this season. Yes, there is incredible talent and gifting among God’s people, but what is truly ushering in this astounding move of God is humility and surrendered hearts. Revival is stirring in our homes, churches, and communities.
I recently heard, Lisa Bevere speak about Deborah in the book of Judges, several truths stood out that feel like a word for all of us—especially mothers, grandmothers, and spiritual parents:
YOU are necessary, loved, and anointed.
Being a mother is a function of the heart.
ENJOY your husband and children.
Fear is a horrible counselor.
Our children inherit either God’s promises or our fears.
Mothers and grandmothers long to see more for the next generation.
Call forth destiny in children—both physical and spiritual—on purpose. Do it now.
One verse shared keeps echoing in my heart:
“You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.”
—Matthew 5:9, The Message
The Call to Action
Today, declare one of God’s promises over the next generation—out loud, in faith. What they inherit from us will shape their tomorrow.
today’s radiant insight:
Our children will inherit something—let it be God’s promises, rather than our fears.
