Abiding in Routines and Rhythms

Abiding is daily living that reveals God’s character and presence. Therefore, we thank God for the gift of rhythms and routines—even when we don’t feel like it. We lead ourselves first, right where we are.

Wisdom isn’t instant—it grows as we practice it through daily rhythms and routines. Without intention, we drift. With focus, we grow.

That’s why steady consistency trumps fickle feelings. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…” (Colossians 3:23 ESV)

Why are routines and rhythms so important? Not for approval. Not for applause. But for The One who sees our unseen growth—growth that makes an eternal difference.

We often get less done in a day than we think we can. Conversely we can get more done in a week or a month than we can possibly realize. Therefore, we get to be purposeful.
